Winter Weather Closes JCPS On Monday

A snowstorm moving through the Louisville area on Sunday evening has led Jefferson County Public Schools to cancel classes for Monday.

Oldham County Schools, Jefferson County Catholic Schools and Nelson County Schools are also closed on Monday because of the weather. Bullitt County Public Schools and Spencer County Public Schools were already scheduled to be closed on Monday.

Also, Greater Clark Schools and Clarksville Community Schools are closed Monday.

The Louisville area is forecast to get two to four inches of snow through Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service. The snow may transition to freezing drizzle and then rain as the precipitation moves out of the region.
