Woodward to Speak at Kentucky Chamber Event

Legendary journalist Bob Woodward of the Washington Post will be the keynote speaker at the Kentucky Chamber's annual meeting in Louisville next week.He replaces MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, who cancelled their appearance at the last minute.Woodward has written a number of books about politics and American presidents, but he is most notable for his investigative work uncovering the Watergate scandal with his colleague Carl Bernstein. The reporting resulted in congressional investigations and the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Woodward will discuss government issues and politics with the chamber on Tuesday. A spokeswoman for the chamber says the organization typically tries to have journalists speak at the annual meeting. The meeting is Tuesday, but will be preceded by a business summit which begins Monday. Speakers for the summit include business executives and political officers, as well as several journalists. Among them are James Fallows of the Atlantic, Bill Goodman of KET and Al Cross of the Institute for Rural Journalism.
