Yarmuth Says Democrats Could've Better Sold Health Care Law

Congressman John Yarmuth of Louisville says his party dropped the ball on promoting the Affordable Care Act.Yarmuth is one of the few public officials in Kentucky who has supported the health care law, and he actively defends it from criticism. But he says his fellow Democrats could have done a better job explaining the legislation.“Every wing of our party, every element of our party has fumbled the message on the Affordable Care Act, from the White House to Congress to the DNC. But in our defense, in our collective defense, it’s a very hard thing to talk about because it’s very complicated," he says. Yarmuth says polling shows that Americans are favorable of nearly every provision of the law. But when people are asked about the law as a whole, the numbers are less positive.
