The YMCA of Greater Louisville is again offering free access to its branch facilities for one week.CEO Steve Tarver says it's part of an effort to get more people motivated to improve their health. "Everybody in the Greater Louisville area is a member of the 'Y' during the week of Oct 2 through Oct 9. We call this our Healthy Living Weekand we welcome all members of the community to come in and beginto build and discover ways to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle," Tarver said. The YMCA has ten branch facilities in the Louisville area.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
